James MacGregor joins Consilio as managing director in charge of the UK sales team

ConsilioThe now-completed merger between Consilio and Advanced Discovery makes the London office of the combined business a very significant player in the eDiscovery / eDisclosure market.

Consilio has appointed James MacGregor as managing director in charge of its sales team in the UK. James MacGregor will be responsible for expanding Consilio’s UK presence, and expanding into new regions with new and existing clients. There is a press release about the appointment here.

I first came across James when he was VP of European eDisclosure Services at FRONTEO USA. His experiences on both sides of the Atlantic will help Consilio develop cross-border business (which has always been one of its strengths) well as business within distinct jurisdictions. He is also (and this matters in developing client relationships) a nice chap.

Not the least of James MacGregor’s achievements is his work helping to establish the UK chapter of ACEDS (the Association of Certified eDiscovery Specialists) – there is one of their events coming up, on 20 September, which I wrote about here.

I asked James MacGregor why he had taken the role. He said:

In the current eDiscovery market there are only a handful of organisations that can truly handle global eDiscovery projects and Consilio is one of them. Furthermore, with the recent merger with Advanced Discovery, Consilio’s UK presence is now twice the size it was and we now have a vast array of local eDiscovery experts here in London to complement this global reach. For these reasons, I jumped at the chance to lead the UK sales team in order to further drive our local and international market dominance.

I look forward to working with James MacGregor both in his Consilio role and wearing his ACEDS hat.
