Navigant has appointed Bob Anderson as a Managing Director leading its Information Security sub-practice. Information Security is now part of Navigant’s global Legal Technology Solution which embraces a very broad range of disputes, forensics, investigations, compliance and legal technology solutions.
Bob Anderson joins Navigant from the FBI where he was Executive Assistant Director of the Criminal, Cyber, Response and Services Branch. This position gave him responsibility for all FBI criminal and cyber investigations worldwide, including critical incident response and victim assistance.
The Navigant Legal Technology Solutions team has a broad remit to help clients with data management challenges, working to reduce risk, increase efficiency and control costs. Cybersecurity has not only increased its own significance in the last 18 months, but become a driver for other aspects of data management, investigations and eDiscovery. At one end, potential cybersecurity incidents can be minimised by a prudent focus on information governance; at the other end, an incident gives rise to investigations aimed at minimising future risk and to compliance implications; it often also gives rise to litigation.
It is obvious why Navigant sees the need to recruit at the highest level to head the incident response group, and has done so with Bob Anderson’s appointment.
